In ten years – what do you hope you won't regret?

We often live as if there will always be a better moment. And while we wait, life goes on.

Two people side by side

There is a question that keeps returning among people who have reached a turning point in life:

What will I regret when I look back?

We often live as if there will always be a better moment. When the children are older. When work calms down. When finances improve. When someone else changes.

And while we wait … life goes on.

We postpone the conversation we need to have. We wait to say "I love you". We work a little too much and are present a little too little. We let fear make decisions that should really be made by love.

It is rarely life that holds us back

Of course there are circumstances we cannot influence. But sometimes it is not life that holds us back – it is our habitual patterns, our fears and our biological defences.

Life is fragile. We do not know how many summers we have left. How many hugs, how much laughter, or how many chances to say "I'm sorry", "thank you" or "I'm here".

Pause for a moment and consider:

  • What have you regretted in life?
  • What do you need to do now in order to feel at peace with your life?

We hope you are enjoying your summer. ☀️
